BACK TO SOUPS & SALADS.
BINGO CHERRY SALAD
Very good; just right for any festive occasion

Ingredients:
2 (3 oz.) pkgs. cherry gelatin
2 c. boiling water
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, undrained
1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 c. chopped nuts, optional

Directions:
In a large bowl combine the gelatin and hot water.  
Add the pineapple and cherry pie filling.  
Pour into an 8x11-inch glass dish.  Chill until set.  
Soften the cream cheese and mix well with the sugar.  
Blend in the sour cream and vanilla.  
Spread over the gelatin mixture.  Sprinkle with nuts if desired.  
Chill till serving time.  
Serves 6
