BACK TO CANDY & COOKIES.
JANET'S TOFFEE  CANDY
One of my favorite Christmas cookies

Ingredients:
Saltine crackers
2 sticks butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 (12-oz.) bag milk chocolate chips
1 bag Bits of Brickle (optional)

Directions:
Line a jelly roll pan with aluminum foil & spray with Pam.  
Layer saltine crackers on pan.  
Melt butter; add brown sugar & mix well.  
Boil together for 3 minutes.
Pour over saltines and bake at 375ºF for 5 minutes.  
Remove from oven and pour chocolate chips over mixture.  
When melted, spread evenly.
Sprinkle brickle over top if desired.  
Allow to harden.  Chilling will speed up hardening.  
Break into pieces & enjoy.
