BACK TO BREAKFAST.
CHERRY DANISH BISCUIT CUPS
Frozen biscuit dough bakes into a flaky crust for a creamy cherry filling

Ingredients:
2 oz. cream cheese
1 tsp. granulated sugar
1/8 tsp. almond extract
1 tbsp. granulated sugar
2 Pillsbury Oven Baked frozen Southern style biscuits (from 25-oz. bag)
2 tsp. cherry preserves
2 tbsp. powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. water

Directions:
Heat oven to 350ºF. Spray two 2-3/4 x 1-1/4-inch muffin cups with cooking spray.
In small bowl, stir together cream cheese, 1 tsp. sugar & almond extract.
Place 1 tbsp. sugar in shallow dish. Place biscuits on microwavable paper towel.
Microwave on Med. (50%) 30-40 seconds, turning over halfway through microwave time.
(Biscuits will be almost thawed.) Press all sides of biscuits into sugar, flattening them.
Press each biscuit into bottom and up side of muffin cup.
Spoon cream cheese mixture evenly into biscuit cups. Top with preserves.
Bake 17-25 minutes or until edges are light golden brown.
Cool 5 minutes. Gently remove from cups.
In small bowl, stir together powdered sugar & water.
Drizzle over biscuits. Serve warm or cool.
Makes: 2 servings
Use different flavors of preserves, such as strawberry, blueberry or peach,
to make a variety of pastries.
